Furthermore Mortal Kombat 11 is a fighting video game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive
Entertainment. Running on the Unreal Engine 3,[6][7] it is the eleventh main installment in the Mortal Kombat series and
a sequel to 2015’s Mortal Kombat X. Announced at The Game Awards 2018, the game was released in North America and Europe
on April 23, 2019 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In late January
2019 it was reported that the Switch version was delayed in Europe, and is now scheduled for a May 10, 2019 release


Despite being almost three decades old, the Mortal Kombat series is more popular than ever. David Haddad, the president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment,
announced that Mortal Kombat 11 has had the best launch in the franchise’s history.
Haddad didn’t mention specific sales figures, but he also said that in the Americas, Mortal Kombat 11 is the largest launch in Warner Bros. Games’ history. NetherRealm will continue to update the game in the near future (like adding new characters) — Haddad said the team has “years of new content” planned.
